Former Republican Rep. Barbara Comstock says she will vote for Harris.

Former Republican Congressman Barack Obama (Virginia) said Sunday that he would vote for Vice President Harris as president, meaning Republicans have recently broken away from supporting former President Donald Trump.
"I think it's important to turn the page after four years of Donald Trump not admitting defeat after January 6 and the threat to democracy," Constock told CNN on Sunday. "That's why I'm voting for the vice president.
A few weeks ago, Denver Riggleman, another Republican from Virginia, endorsed Harris' bid.
Riggleman's name was on the supporters list, a highlight of Harris' campaign, during the "Republican Harris support" initiative earlier this month.
Like Constock, Legalman pointed to the Jan. 6 Capitol uprising.
Constock, who served as Virginia's 10th Congressional District between 2015 and 2019, was one of the Republican defectors who continued to strain with Trump at the White House.
She is one of about 20 Republican lawmakers who have spoken out in the 2016 presidential election, and there has previously been audio showing him groping a woman and molesting her.
She eventually missed the chance to run for reelection in 2018 but has remained a straightforward critic of Trump in recent years.
Kongstock said Sunday that she did not vote for Trump in 2016 or 2020.
"I mean it was the biggest misogynistic vote we've ever had," he said, pointing to the controversy surrounding Trump and his running mate, Senator JD Vance (R-Ohio).
"It's not something our party would accept. Not to mention that he's a felon, we still have a case, and you know, he's adopted confidential documents," she said, referring to Trump's ongoing legal battle.
Last month, a judge dismissed 40 criminal charges against Trump, saying he treated confidential documents improperly and interfered with the government's efforts to search them at Mar-a-Lago.
But he was convicted in New York's gag fee case earlier this year and still faces two other cases involving overturning the 2020 election results.
