'Friends' Matthew Perry Dies Over Corrupt Doctor... Continues to Supply 'Drugs' Because of 'Money' [Hollywood News Agency]

 Matthew Perry, an actor who suddenly died in October 2023. Five people have been arrested for being involved in his death.

The death of the late actor Matthew Perry, who was greatly loved for playing Chandler in the popular sitcom Friends, is still under investigation, according to a foreign media report on Variety on the 15th (local time).

A drug investigation is currently under way related to Matthew Perry's death, and as many as five people have been arrested. The U.S. Department of Justice shocked people by announcing at a press conference on the morning of the 15th that a "widespread underground criminal network" related to Matthew Perry's death was revealed, including Matthew Perry's secretary and doctors.


"There are people who have taken advantage of Matthew Perry's addiction problems, including his cohabitation assistant, various intermediaries, two doctors, and a major source of drugs known as the 'Queen Ketamine,'" the U.S. federal prosecutor said. "These defendants put their interests above caring for Matthew Perry, even though they knew what they were doing was wrong."

During the two months of fall 2023, Matthew Perry's doctor and drug trafficker sold more than 20 ketamine vials to Matthew Perry for $55,000 (W74.72 million) in cash.

After administering ketamine to Matthew Perry, the corrupt doctor in particular watched his body freeze and his blood pressure skyrocket. The cohabitation assistant was then given additional ketamine.

The corrupt doctor was also quoted as telling another patient in October 2023 that "Matthew Perry is out of control with his addiction." Nevertheless, he continued to provide ketamine to Matthew Perry to make money.

The Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) said Matthew Perry paid $2,000 (W2.71 million) for ketamine, which cost around $12 (W16,200) a bottle. When his addiction worsened, Matthew Perry went to a street vendor to save ketamine, which eventually led to his death.

All five defendants knew their actions were unethical and illegal, and they exchanged them via text messages. After Matthew Perry's death, a drug trafficker who sold the deadly ketamine sent another defendant a text message saying, "Delete all of our messages." Corrupt doctors even falsified medical records to justify their actions.


Matthew Perry was found dead in a hot tub at his Los Angeles home on Oct. 28, 2023. Traces of ketamine were found in his body, which initially proved to be an accidental overdose. However, in May, the LAPD said it was working with federal authorities to investigate the source of the ketamine Matthew Perry had taken.

Emergency services were called to Matthew Perry's home after receiving a report of a cardiac arrest at the time, but were already out of reach. Matthew Perry died from "acute effects of ketamine," the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner's Office announced.

Matthew Perry was said to have used ketamine to treat depression and anxiety before his death. According to the coroner's toxicology report, it is possible that high levels of ketamine found in his blood had a fatal effect on cardiovascular conflation and respiratory depression.
