the best time to visit Hawaii
It's a great Hawaii to visit anytime, but I'll show you how to choose the best time!
You can visit Hawaii anytime, but it gives you good information to choose when to visit.
a quick glance
Hawaii is sunny almost all year round, so you can visit anytime. There is little change in temperature, either. The average weekly temperature is 29°C in summer and 26°C in winter. The temperature of the sea near the coast also doesn't change much, with an average of 23°C throughout the year.
With December (except the first week), January, and February being the peak seasons, airfare and hotel stays are the most expensive. Specifically, the last two weeks of December and the first week of January are the peak season for travel, so most hotels and flights are fully booked. Summer and mid-spring, which are the school holidays, are also peak seasons. In general, reservations are available for cheaper prices in late spring and fall (before Thanksgiving), and the number of visitors is relatively small.
Although it's the rainy season in Hawaii between November and March, showers can fall at any time, and most of the time they're on the island's windy side. Rain isn't usually there for a long time, and it's localized, so rain won't ruin your vacation. Even if it rains where you are, it can be sunny somewhere on the same island.
Hurricane season runs from June to November (Only a handful of hurricanes have caused significant damage since 1950 when accurate data collection began.) In winter, storms in the Pacific Ocean also cause seawater to rise toward the island's northern coast. Only experienced surfers can ride monstrous waves. Others sit on the beach and appreciate the courage and heat of surfers.
For some people, the best time to visit Hawaii is when various events are held. Here is a list of popular annual events. Please note that the dates are subject to change.
